Skin boosters, aka the non-surgical facelift, contains hyaluronic acid (HA), and are designed to hydrate and nourish the skin from within. HA is a naturally occurring substance which our own body produces but diminishes as we age causing wrinkles to form and our skin to sag.
Skin boosters come in fine gel form and have been developed to specifically improve our skins quality and give a rejuvenated fresh appearance.
A skin booster, is injected just under the top layer of the skin in either in five (10pt) or six (12pt) different areas.
Another technique is called mesotherapy, where we inject smaller amounts of skin booster much closer together (1cm apart) but using the same amount of product as the 10pt & 12pt techniques. This is most beneficial to clients with deeper lines and wrinkles.
Two treatments are required initially, one month apart and one maintenance treatment is required every 5/6 months thereafter.
All our clients love our skin boosters as they can give you a much more youthful appearance without altering the shape of your face.
Although most of our clients will only feel a little discomfort during this procedure, your Bareface Aesthetic practitioner will apply a topical skin numbing cream before treatment.
We use the finest gauge needles to inject small amounts of skin booster gently just under the skin.
The number of injections needed depends on many factors, including which type of HA gel treatment you’re having, ie Mesotherapy or a 10pt Facelift (Profhilo) treatment and also the extent of the areas being treated.
Treatment time ; 30mins not 10
Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 24 hours.
You can wash your face with water.
You can return to your normal activities right after the procedure. Your Bareface Aesthetics practitioner will inform you of any other requirements prior to treatment.
Your skin boosters will take approx four weeks to plump up and take fully effect.
You will require a repeat treatment one month later.
Depending on the problem areas being treated, the effect should last for six months or even longer. To maintain your new fresher look, you'll need only one follow-up treatment every six months.
